Fushigi Yuugi OAV II Storyline

Miaka Yuuki is once again an ordinary girl enjoying normal high school life with her friends. As Suzaku No Miko, she sealed away the evil demon Tenkou, and believed that she and the people she loved were at peace. That is, until she wakes up one morning remembering that Suzaku was calling to her in her dreams.

Taka Sukunami, the reincarnation of Tamahome in the real world, is with his beloved Miaka once again. He sacrificed his memories in order to stay with her in her world. He, too, begins having strange dreams, of something important flying out of his body and leaving him.

Miaka and Taka meet each other that morning, both of them heading for school. Taka drops Miaka off at her high school, meeting with Yui at the same time, and remembers who she is. While the three of them are talking, a new male student passes by them, wishing Miaka a good morning.

The young man is Ren Shigyou, who just transferred in from the week before. He proves to be incredibly popular with all of the students, especially the girls. Even after transferring so soon, he is running for student body president in the upcoming election at Yotsubadai High.

Later on that same day, Miaka receives a note from one of her friends stating that Taka was waiting for her on the roof. Miaka rushes up to see him, wondering why he is there. When she arrives, Taka is waiting for her; he says he got her message telling him to wait for her on the school roof, and asks her why she wants him. When students begin crowding onto the roof, Miaka and Taka realize they were set up.

The students, their eyes glowing with strange purple light, criticize Miaka for her immoral and disgusting relationship with Taka. When Taka angrily tries to lead Miaka away, the group rushes at him and pins him to the railing.

Miaka, meanwhile, is grabbed and hurled over the edge of the roof. Screaming in terror, she begins to fall, and Taka fights his way to the edge, jumping after her. Before the two hit the ground, they hear Suzaku's voice calling to them. Both Taka and Miaka are bathed in red light, and enter the book world once again.

Within the "Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho", Miaka and Taka meet up with Chichiri and Tasuki, both of whom give Taka a strange little globe. When Taka touches the globes, parts of his memory return. Chichiri, with the use of his kasa, teleports the four of them to Mount Taikyoku, where Taiitsu-kun and the spirits of the dead Seishi await them.

Taiitsu-kun explains to Miaka that Taka's memory was sealed into seven globes in order for him to cross worlds. For Taka to regain his memories, the missing stones must be found, otherwise he will disappear. If Tenkou manages to gather the globes first, he will gain the power to control both worlds as he pleases.

With Mount Taikyoku crumbling behind them, Miaka and her Seishi begin their new quest to find the powerful lost globes of memory before time runs out.
